What am I doing now?

Well, last month I did 246 VFX for Discovery, and this month: more of that. Other projects are mere specters in mist, not yet coalesced into physical form. Quite unlike the latest issue of my zine, which is only available as a physical object.

Freelance avails: Now booking for mid- 2025!

I’m often terrible at “making myself the client.” I’ll take on a bunch of dubious side jobs when I’m already booked much more easily than just write or shoot or finish something on one of my long to-do lists of projects. But lately I’ve been writing for me and it feels great. I’ve been getting my Morning Pages in. I published that zine. I’m working on another thing. Given the dubious sourcing of a lot of social media right now, giving into the endless scroll feels like it might literally be ‘letting the terrorists win.’ Making things for myself is my rebellion.
